AYRW students served cake and ice cream at the Birth Day Party for John Henry Faulk, for whom Austin's Main Library is named, and watched a film at the Zilker Hillside Theater about his life and about his defense of the first amendment of the US Constitution.

Make-up day for rained out canoe day - tested and swam at the Nature Conservancy of Texas' Barton Creek Habitat Preserve.

Summer Leadership Program - activities included water testing, attempts to canoe on Town Lake, a tour of the LCRA Colorado River Watch Network office, and field trips to Hornsby Bend, Inner Space Caverns, Mt. Bonnell, and the dams of the Lower Colorado River from Mansfield to Longhorn during the extreme floods following the "Rain Bomb" over the Hill Country this summer.
